So, this week I am going to start by talking about the most talked about holiday besides Christmas--Halloween. Who’s excited for Halloween on Monday? I know I am (even though I have a midterm that morning). I think I’m excited more this year than in the past, because I actually bought a costume. A couple of weeks ago, I was in Party City for about two hours trying to find the perfect costume that was "child appropriate" since I needed it for work. I am a party hostess hosting children's bowling parties so I had to find something that I thought was cute, as well as something that would be appropriate for the kids and the work place. With much time and thought, I decided to be a bumblebee and that was a good choice because it was adorable and everyone loved it. I went to my local bar last night and everyone liked it, so I thought that was money well spent. I can’t believe I actually took off on Monday so that I can see the kids come to my house dressed up in the cutest costumes. After all, Halloween does come once a year, right? What I can’t stand are how those kids that are in high school who trick or treat without a costume on just to get free candy. That is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. I heard there was a law in Virginia that you could not trick or treat if you were over 13, where is our law New Jersey?
Honestly, it’s hard to believe that Halloween is in a few days because of the snow that is saturating the ground. Snow before Halloween? It’s fall not winter. Hello global warming! Everyone’s poor branches and Halloween decorations are not used to this bizarre weather quite yet. But, hey, we have had an earthquake, hurricane and now snow in October; we should expect it. What’s going to be next? The end of the world? Weather like this is perfect for cuddling with your beau, don’t you all agree? It’s cold, and even if you are in layers you never seem to get warm enough, unless you're close to one another just talking and watching TV...or doing homework...All I can say is that I was not expecting this, but I don't mind it...when I’m inside that is.

I hope that you all stay warm in this crazzzzzy weather and have a happy and safe Halloween! Don’t party too hard this weekend, but live it up!
Sincerely yours,

The snow was definitely disorienting this early in the season, but it was kind of nice.
ReplyDeleteDidn't get too many trick-or-treaters, though.
